I am deeply honored to receive the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022. Notably, President Joseph R. Biden personally presented it to me. This recognition highlights my lifelong dedication to volunteer service and nation-building. Furthermore, the award, given by AmeriCorps and the Office of the President, honors individuals who create lasting change through service. For this reason, it’s more than a personal milestone—it’s a reflection of my mission to help communities both locally and globally.
The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is one of the highest honors I’ve received in my life. Without a doubt, it represents more than just a medal or title. In fact, it’s given to those who make sustained and meaningful contributions to their communities. For this reason, receiving it was incredibly personal and humbling. To me, the award reflects years of dedication to uplifting others—as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political leader—across various sectors of society.
Throughout my career, I’ve consistently focused on strengthening communities and promoting economic growth. Moreover, I’ve worked diligently to build strong and lasting relationships between the United States and Pakistan. In addition to that, my initiatives have spanned across healthcare, technological innovation, and diplomatic relations. Ultimately, my mission has always been about creating a long-term, positive impact that extends far beyond borders.
A Legacy of Volunteerism and Civic Engagement
Service has always played a central role in my life’s work. From the very beginning, I’ve believed in giving back and using my platform to create real, lasting change. Whether it’s strengthening U.S.-Pakistan relations or supporting local neighborhoods, I’ve consistently worked to build bridges and unite people across backgrounds.
Beyond my business ventures, I’ve taken an active role in mobilizing communities. One of the most impactful moments came when I led “Muslims for Biden” during the 2020 U.S. elections. During that time, I personally made thousands of voter outreach calls and helped amplify the voices of Muslim-Americans nationwide. As a result, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of civic engagement and collective action.
Dedication to Volunteer Service and Nation-Building
Nation-building has guided much of my journey. I believe that everyone can make a difference. Whether through business, politics, or charity, I’ve tried to give people the tools and support they need to thrive—both in the U.S. and abroad.
One highlight of this work is my leadership in the Congressional Pakistan Caucus Foundation (CPCF). We create pathways for young Pakistani-Americans to get involved in civic life. Through the CPCF, I’ve helped connect youth with scholarships, internships, and jobs.
Moving Forward
Receiving the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is an incredible honor. But it also reminds me that there is still work to be done. I remain committed to service, nation-building, and community upliftment. This award reinforces my belief that anyone can help shape a better world.
As I look ahead, I’m more inspired than ever. This recognition strengthens my resolve to build unity, inspire action, and continue the work that matters most. My journey is far from over—and I’m ready for what’s next.
